McMonigal Architects teamed with Beacon Interfaith Housing Collaborative to renovate aging apartment facilities in Minneapolis.

At Clinton Avenue Townhomes, the renovation included a complete exterior and interior remodeling, and extensive site improvements. Siding and trim were replaced, and erosion and drainage problems were corrected. Redesigned outdoor spaces included new walks and patio, bike racks, play equipment, fencing, and landscaping. Interior improvements involved kitchen and bath remodels, adding laundry facilities, and upgrading life/safety and air conditioning systems.

At Cedar View Apartments, an extensive bathroom and kitchen remodel included plumbing fixtures, lights, fans, and finishes. Moisture resistant materials were selected for durability and mold resistance. Economical low velocity continuous exhaust fans were installed to minimize moisture concerns and provide ventilation.
