McMonigal Architects collaborated with Dogwood Coffee, a small, quality-focused coffee roaster based in Minneapolis, to expand into Saint Paul. Through adaptive reuse, a portion of a former warehouse space became a coffee bar and shop. Dogwood Coffee knew they wanted to keep the clean, industrial look that they are known for at other locations.
In addition to the design, we researched many products including finishes, lighting, industrial-sized fans, equipment, and NSF rated kitchen products. The result is Dogwood’s largest shop, and one that integrates the products of local design businesses including Loll, Intectural, Blu Dot, and Hennepin Made.
