First came the homeowner’s question: “Why does Europe embrace the mixing of new and older styles in ways that are less common in America?” Then began the meticulously crafted exploration of new and old, modern and traditional, European and American design. The majority of the house was remodeled, incorporating energy efficient improvements and creating a healthy interior. The result preserves the original character while contrasting past and present.
