The outside approach to the house offers no views to Lake Owasso, nor did the living and dining spaces. The dining and living spaces were closed off from each other and seldom used. The small kitchen was isolated from the rest of the house.
The major remodel included reworking the foyer, kitchen, family, living, and dining spaces to flow together and reconnect with the lake. The stone fireplace has become a focal point. The seldom used former living became dining, which is now open to the kitchen and shares a see-through fireplace with the family room. The former dining was converted into a half bath, pantry, and mudroom linked to the garage. Light-filled and open spaces make everyday living and entertaining a joy.
